The Situs Cos., which provides commercial real estate advisory services to the financial services industry, has opened a new office in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta. The office – which is headed by Tammy Ellerbe, a former managing director and head of underwriting for CWCapital's capital markets lending business – will offer due diligence, loan underwriting, primary and special servicing, and asset management.
The firm says it selected Atlanta because of the city's high concentration of experienced industry professionals and the abundance of existing clients in the region.Â
Ellerbe will be initially looking to recruit 25 professionals with experience in commercial real estate loan underwriting, due diligence and collateral valuation, asset management, workouts, as well as strategic disposition and real estate owned advisory services, the company says.
