eeline Cos., an owner and manager of more than 2.5 million square feet of office properties throughout the New York metropolitan region, is launching Treeline Realty Advisors, a real estate consulting and asset management division focused on troubled assets. The new division will provide consulting services to develop and then execute streamlined management plans and disposition strategies for lenders and investors in underperforming and distressed real estate assets, with a primary focus on the New York tri-state area, the company says. Over the past three decades, Treeline has purchased, financed and managed over 6.5 million square feet in transactions. "We need to restore value back into assets that have been damaged by the current economic crisis," says Michael Schor, one of Treeline's three principals. "Accomplishing that task requires a multidisciplined and creative examination of every aspect of a particular asset." SOURCE: The Treeli
