Mortgage Master, a super-regional mortgage bank and one of the country's largest privately owned mortgage companies, has opened a new retail branch location in Vienna, Va.

The new branch will cover communities in northern Virginia, including Fairfax and Loudon counties, as well as the Washington, D.C., metro market.

Susan Blackmore will serve as branch manager. A seasoned mortgage banking professional with more than 30 years of experience as a residential loan originator, underwriter and sales manager, she previously worked as the mid-Atlantic area mortgage sales manager at HSBC, where she managed mortgage originators in Maryland, Virginia, District of Columbia, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Prior to this, Blackmore held numerous regional leadership and sales management positions with leading mortgage lenders including Providential Bancorp, Sierra Pacific Home Loans, Freedom Mortgage, Fidelity & Trust Mortgage, American Home Mortgage, Washington Mutual and Home Savings of America.

In her new role, Blackmore will be responsible for building relationships with real estate agents, accountants, lawyers and other referral partners to provide borrowers some of the lowest rates available and highest quality service. In addition, she is charged with growing the new branch by hiring experienced loan officers to help borrowers purchase or refinance a home.

‘The opening of our newest retail branch in Vienna, Va., combined with our significant presence in Maryland is another step in expanding our successful model throughout the important mid-Atlantic region,’ says Paul Anastos, president of Mortgage Master. ‘As a top-five independent mortgage lender in the U.S., we have the scale and 25 years of experience to offer borrowers very competitive rates, best-in-class service and advice they can trust when making one of the largest financial decisions to purchase or refinance a home.’
