MDA DataQuick, a division of MDA Lending Solutions, has partnered with Honolulu-based Collateral Analytics (CA) to add the Value Range automated valuation model (AVM) to its Collateral Validation solution, a patent-pending collateral risk solution.
The partnership with CA provides users of Collateral Validation with local-market data such as active and pending listings and days on market.
‘One of the biggest issues facing originators and servicers today is determining an accurate property value,’ says John Walsh, president of MDA DataQuick. ‘Most firms have defaulted to manual reviews of most, if not all, appraisals and [broker price opinions]â¦To give users even more control, we allow them to incorporate third-party AVMs.’
Collateral Validation automates the valuation reconciliation process, and users can choose 30-, 60- or 90-day market-value forecasts for properties.
A full Collateral Validation report includes multiple points of market values, home-price index trending and other supporting property information, the companies add.
