The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has announced the nomination of Bill Cosgrove, president and CEO of Strongsville, Ohio-based Union National Mortgage Co., as vice chairman-elect. He will be elected by MBA members at the association's 99th Annual Convention, which will be held in October in Chicago.
A longtime and active MBA member, Mr. Cosgrove has served as a member of MBA's board of directors, legislative steering committee and the Residential Board of Governors Advisory Committee. During the 2009-2010 election cycle, he served as chairman of MORPAC, the industry's political action committee, and helped to raise more than $1 million to bolster MBA's advocacy efforts. He was the 2011 recipient of MBA's Burton C. Wood Legislative Service Award, given annually to an MBA member in recognition of his or her sustained superior service to the association and the real estate finance industry as a whole.
‘Bill has more than 26 years of experience in the mortgage banking business and has been one of our industry's most forward looking leaders as we go through this period of unprecedented change,’ says MBA Chairman Michael W. Young.
