Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank plans to open a new home loan center in Lynnwood, Wash., early next year.
‘The branch is well located between a busy commercial area and a well-established residential area,’ says Rich Bennion, residential lending director for HomeStreet Bank. ‘Snohomish County is an ideal market for further growth of our mortgage lending business, and this site provides us with a convenient and centralized hub from which to significantly grow that business in north end markets.’
HomeStreet Bank currently has full-service mortgage and banking offices in the Snohomish County cities of Marysville and Mountlake Terrace. Bennion says the bank is planning to open more home loan centers in the next 18 months.
"We are currently evaluating additional locations, particularly in the Greater Seattle area,’ he says.
HomeStreet Bank offers a full line of conventional, Federal Housing Administration and Department of Veterans Affairs mortgage products. The bank says it will have originated approximately $2 billion in home loans by the end of the year.
