Chris MacNaughton To Lead New American Funding’s Expansion In California

Chris MacNaughton has joined New American Funding, a national mortgage banker, as vice president of builder and business development.

MacNaughton has more than 15 years of mortgage experience originating loans, conducting new home financing and managing branches for various lenders. At times in his career, he has ranked as the No. 1 volume-producing loan originator within his company. Most recently, MacNaughton worked at a private mortgage lender in a dual role as branch manager and regional builder manager. At one point, his branch was No. 1 in loan volume for the company nationwide.

In his new role, MacNaughton will lead New American Funding ‘s expansion in northern California. He will be responsible for developing the builder division and creating a builder certification training program that endorses loan officers as new home specialists.

He is also tasked with creating the best platform for New American Funding’s loan originators, improving marketing and branding with referral partners, and boosting customer satisfaction.

MacNaughton, who will be based in San Francisco, will also work to expand the company’s brand in the Bay Area.
