Mortgage technology provider SharperLending LLC has partnered with Ellie Mae to connect its Appraisal Firewall product to Ellie Mae's Encompass360 loan origination system.
The direct-data integration provides mortgage banks, community banks and credit unions working in Encompass360 with seamless access to Appraisal Firewall, where they can work with their own local appraisers, get valuation quality control solutions, and comply with all appraisal regulations.
Appraisal Firewall is a secure, web-based real estate appraisal technology solution for lenders to manage their own appraisal process and work with their trusted local appraisers and appraisal management companies (AMCs) in a single system. Appraisal Firewall helps lenders comply with all appraisal independence regulations, including Dodd-Frank, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, internal and investor requirements, plus GSE requirements for lenders to submit UAD-compliant appraisals electronically to the UCDP.
The integration with Appraisal Firewall enables Encompass360 users to exercise tighter control over their appraisal workflow by selecting the type of appraisal provider they need – either their known appraiser panel or, for specific wholesale/investor requirements, AMCs.
